travel series Equitrekking, as the first-place
prize winner for Best Travel Broadcast in
the 2009 North American Travel Journalist

Access Report Available
In July 2009, the American Horse Council
launched an effort to collect information
regarding equestrian access issues on
federal lands. The centerpiece of this effort
has been an AHC online form riders can
use to report their personal experiences
regarding trails on federal lands that have
been closed to them or other access issues.
The AHC has now released its 2009
Report on Equestrian Access on Federal Land.
To view and download the report, visit the
AHC website. To continue to report any access
issues you’ve experienced, click to visit
the AHC’s survey page.
